O blessed Jesus,

Quiet my soul and help me find my rest in You.
Let Your deep and lasting peace rule my heart.
Be my King of gentleness, my Lord of peace.

Give me the strength to exercise self-control—
in my words, my thoughts, and my actions.

Deliver me, dear Lord, from irritability, impatience, and harshness.
Teach me to respond with humility, kindness, and gentleness.

Let Your patience become my patience.
Shape my heart and character so that,
in this and every area of my life,
I become more and more like You.
