Abba, draw me close to You today. Let me hear the whisper of the Spirit offering an invitation to joy, to hope, to the adventure of Your plans. So many things distract me, offering to satisfy my soul-hunger. But I know that You are the Source of life, the only true Bread.

Help me to find joy in serving others in big and small ways, offering encouragement, lending a hand, being present to hear joys and sorrows. Jesus, teach me to delight in those things that cause Your Presence to be felt in this world, serving as Your hands and voice.

I pray for those who are struggling with sickness, be the Healer.
For those who are grieving, be their Comfort.
For those who wander, be the Way home.
For those who are deceived, be the Truth.
For those who are fearful, be Peace.

In a world where we are surrounded by people consumed by pride, quick to take offense, protecting their little turf with ferocity, make us people with generous spirits – selfless, forgiving, ready to go the second mile without a moment’s hesitation.

You are our Great Father, the loving Christ Jesus, the Eternal Spirit; worthy of our praise.
Be honored in our thoughts, words, and deeds today.
