Abba, let my heart be still today; patient and trusting in Your promises. So many thoughts tumble through my mind, creating an inner storm and angst about what is to come. Remind me that You are Lord of life.

Give me faith to live the words of the Scripture that says “whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.” (James 1:2-4, NLT)

Many blessings overflow in my life, an abundance undeserved. I sing “great is Thy faithfulness, there is no shadow of turning with Thee!”  You have given me grace and assurance of life eternal. You have filled my life with good gifts – all I need and more. “I trust in God’s unfailing love forever and ever. I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done.” {Psalm 52:8}

Lead me so that I will walk close to You through this day.
Fill my mouth with words of hope and encouragement for others.
Cause my life to be light, reflecting Jesus’ goodness into my world.
