Abba, with a tumultuous mind I come to You this day. Remind me of Who You are – eternal, all-knowing, purposeful, and above all – LOVING! Let this Word be the captain of my thoughts: “You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! … Your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.” (Psalm 139)

I pray for my family to know Your daily guidance, to be kept in peace, and above all – to walk in step with Your Spirit. Thank you for the many blessings that they have known. Let them continue to live in them with joy and gratitude.

I pray for my friends to know the wholeness of life found in You alone. Help me to be a light of hope, reflecting Your goodness, lifting up Christ Jesus in both words and actions.

I pray for the world, full of noise and conflict, that seems to ignore You more each day. Reveal Yourself in the beauty of the Creation, through the witness of Your holy Church, in the Word, and through the Spirit’s moving. “Open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.” (Acts 26) 

Lord, let me live in “faith, hope, and love” always remembering that “the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13)
