Abba, words fall short as I try to express the wonder I feel today. What grace You have given me—to know Your love, to live in peace, and to be blessed with comfort and abundance. “Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.” (Psalm 96)

I lift up my friends who are grieving and facing the reality of death. Spirit of God, speak Your peace over them. Give them the hope of Resurrection Life. Let them know You as the God of all comfort.

I pray for those who feel lost or confused, unsure of the Way. Jesus, reveal Your salvation and set their feet on the path of purpose in You. Help us fulfill Your call to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16) May our lives proclaim Your goodness even more loudly than our words.

Lord, many today live on the edge of survival. Ebola threatens lives in Africa. War brings fear and death to millions. And close to home, countless people are overwhelmed by pain and suffering. Jesus, meet these needs with Your provision. Bring healing. Speak peace. Give life.

Help me respond quickly to the Spirit’s leading, keeping in step with Him throughout this day and guarded from foolish choices. Let this be my guide: “Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.” (Proverbs 28)
