Abba, I stand quietly to ponder Your goodness, praying this day for renewed faith to trust You when so many situations around me seem to be chaotic, even meaningless. Let me find renewed assurance that You will guide me to ‘life to the full.’ I pray to be faithful, to ‘make the most of every opportunity’ so that days do not slip away with growing backlogs of unfinished projects and unkept commitments. Help me, Spirit of God, to find the right balance between rest and work; not driven and stressed, but never lazy or apathetic.
Keep me from wasting days chasing trivial things while the truly urgent and critical issues are ignored. May wisdom guide that I ‘do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed.’ (2 Timothy) Lead me to truly live in the best ways focused on ‘whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable … excellent or praiseworthy.’
Let me remember the farmer’s law- that I must plant to harvest, that must I live patiently waiting for results, and that I must trust You for the rain that causes the seed to flourish. In Jesus’ Holy Name, I pray. Amen.
