Abba, I sing my praise to You –
“when morning gilds the sky,
my heart awakening cries,
‘may Jesus Christ be praised!’”

As life bursts all around in the Spring, I am joyful in the beauty and thankful for a new season. In a similar way I pray that the Spirit’s life will break out in me, making my life fruitful with “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

In this world there is much conflict, fed by the father of lies.
Move, Lord Almighty, to bring peace.

Teach me to be a person of peace, quick to forgive, always seeking to be a bridge between people who are divided. Most of all, help me to carry the message of peace with God to those with whom I live. May my words and my life cause them to hunger to know Your love, through Christ Jesus.

Spirit of God, let this Word own my mind and heart today. “Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News.” (Colossians 1)

May I live in hope, secure in faith in the promise of Your goodness. In the holy Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
