Abba, I am facing a new week, filled with challenges and promises yet unknown to me but known to You. Renew my assurance that “all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God!”  (Psalm 139) Prepare me to meet each day with wisdom, courage, and faith.

I pray for my heart to find security in You, anchored in the salvation of Christ, empowered by the Presence of Your Spirit. Grant me vision that sees beyond the moment, eyes of faith that see You leading.

If I stumble, pick me up.
If I fail, forgive me.
If I serve well, teach me to give the praise to You.

The engines of war are idling, Lord God, waiting only the word from men with authority to roar to action. Death hovers like a dark cloud. Speak to those who can turn the course of history. Almighty God, move their hearts and minds to pursue peace.  Defeat the demons of destruction that rejoice when bombs fall.

This is my prayer, Lord. “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”  (Psalm 19)
