Abba, I worship You. My heart is humble before You.
Let me know the Presence of Your Spirit today.
Lead me, steady me, grant wisdom in my thoughts, words, and actions.
Father, the beauty of the Fall renews my understanding of life’s seasons, time’s passing by. With the Psalmist I pray – “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.” (Psalm 90) Set eternity in my heart so that the thought of death will lose its terrors and become a reason to live fully today in the wealth of Your plan and purpose.
In all of the activity of this day help me to find time to ponder Your ways.
Too often, Lord, I am tempted to live as if You are only at the edge of my life, an after-thought. I can be deceived into thinking that I am a little god by the blessings of technology and wealth that give me so much control over my life, forgive me when I forget You.
“Let the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.”
(Psalm 19)
In the holy Name of Jesus. Amen
