Abba, I stand in awe of Your mercy and grace. Given the ugly evil that is all around us; violence, greed, pride, and sensuality – You continue to show love, to grant us bright days, blessings, and the promise of life eternal. Yes, this is Your declaration – that “God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness (are extended) to many through … Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5)

I pray for a spiritual renewal to come to this nation. Make Your Presence known and touch our hearts. Protect us from the deceptions of our own ‘wisdom’ that blinds us to the unseen realities of the Spirit’s work. Open our eyes to the possibilities for good so that we would live in Your will and way this day.

Transform me, Lord, from the inside out, my thoughts shaped by Your Word; my choices aligned to Your ways. In this I pray that the Light of Christ Jesus would shine brightly into my world, showing the path to Life and blessings.

This is my prayer, that “the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, (will) give us spiritual wisdom and insight so that (we) might grow in our knowledge of God. I pray that our hearts will be flooded with light so that (we) can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that (we) will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him.”  (Ephesians 1)
