Morning Prayer 39

Abba, I come humbly this morning seeking to know you better.
“You make known to me the path of life;
You will fill me with joy in your presence.” (Psalm 16)

So I ask, Jesus, that my heart will open to Your Presence,
that I may meet You in this quiet morning.
Holy Spirit, grant serenity to my restless heart.
Father, hold me near, showing me the path to wholeness and healing –
of brokenness, of disappointment, of rejection.

In place of the conflict that is all around, teach me to live in peace.
In the despair and discouragement, be my Light and hope.
For my exhaustion, be the Bread of life that renews my strength.
To the doubts that arise, let assurance flow from words of faith.
I begin this new day with a keen awareness of my need for You.
Make these Words more than slogans, truth by which to live.
“I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. …
And my God will meet all your needs according
to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever.
Amen.”
