Abba, You are God alone. Teach me, anew, to find rest in the truth that Your will prevails, that You hold my destiny in Your hands.

I see the evil around me, and I am tempted to doubt Your care, Your power. Like the Psalm, I wonder: “Does the Most High even know what’s happening?” Look at these wicked people— enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply.” (73)  Holy Spirit, come near and speak to me of Your purposes, of my inheritance in Christ Jesus.

I pray for this nation in which I live. Many voices are raised in anger and outrage. Godlessness grows in our culture like a virus, infecting every part, every place. Grant Your people the faith needed to remain steady, the wisdom required to know how to make Your Truth known, and courage that is demanded if we are to swim against the currents of secularism. Bring a renewal of the Spirit to us – starting in ME, Lord.

How grateful I am for Your grace and love. Let this Word shape my mind and feed my faith today: “We praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. …  And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.” (Ephesians 1)

Lead me in the Way so that I will live for You faithfully today.
