Abba, may I make Your Name great today in all I do!
Teach me to live in the center of Your grace,
held secure in Your love, trusting You radically!
Jesus, You once stilled the waves on a stormy lake
with the command – “Peace, be still.” Speak those
words to the storms of life and let me know a divine serenity.
I seek Your wisdom, asking for ‘eyes’ to see beyond the moment,
the way through the challenges of this day, to wholeness and holiness.
Keep me from the delusions of my own Self-will,
from the trickery of spiritual forces of evil that rob me
of the full life only found in You.
In a world full of conflict, war, and tumult this is my prayer –
“Bring to an end the violence of the wicked
and make the righteous secure—you, the righteous God
who probes minds and hearts.
My shield is God Most High,
who saves the upright in heart.” (Psalm 7)
Holy Spirit – own me – mind, heart, and body –
for Your purposes.
This I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus.
Amen
