Abba,

I come to You with reverence and love, grateful for this new day filled with potential. Thank You for the good gifts You’ve given and for a life rooted in hopeful purpose. Holy Spirit, help me to “make the most of every opportunity.”

When anxious thoughts arise—worries about tomorrow, feelings of inadequacy in the face of many challenges—steady my heart in Your peace. As I choose to anchor myself in Your love, let me live with the assurance that You will “keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”

As our children begin a new school year, I pray they will gain true wisdom through their learning. Remind their teachers that “the first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools despise such wisdom and instruction.” Teach us all the way of faith.

Comfort those who are burdened with sorrow.
Heal the sick.
Provide for both body and soul through Your abundant care.
Remind us, Your holy people, of the privilege we have to be the hands of Jesus in this world.

In His holy name, I ask these things. Amen.
